Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do you play your games?
A: Our games are typically scheduled for Saturdays starting at either 1pm or 3pm. Due to the increased popularity of O35 Football we may also have to play the odd match on a Sunday.

Q: Where do you play your games?
A: All our games are played on grounds within the KDSA boundaries. Our current home ground is Kingsford Smith Oval Cnr Kenneth & Stuart Streets Longueville. See Map for Location details

Q: Do you have a code of conduct?
A: Absolutely. STMFC prides itself on being a competitive club but does not condone misconduct of any kind including, deliberate foul play, abuse of officials, opposition or spectators and unsportsmanlike conduct. Any breaches will be dealt with by the committee, leading to suspensions or expulsion of the club.

Q: Are there many injuries to players each week?
A: In general terms there are very few injuries to players who play within the rules and ensure their preparation is consistent with the effort required. STMFC encourages all players to seek the advice of their doctor before committing to a season of soccer. Further more if an injury was to occur we strongly recommend having it attended to by a doctor or physio in a timely manner.

Q: How do I indicate my interest?
A: Send an e-mail to secretary@stmfc.org.au with your contact details and we will get back to you.

Q: How many players are there in each team?
A: We generally organise our teams to have an average squad of 18 players. This allows us to allocate up to 16 each week (max allowed) per match and accommodates requests for time off, due to business and family commitments or the opportunity to rest an injury. Effective rotations on the day result in all players spending about 55 to 60 out of 80 minutes, on the field.
